The Cincy Slangin' Bearcat Sports Podcast is a deep dive into all things University of Cincinnati athletics, focusing primarily on the basketball and football programs. The podcast, co-hosted by UC graduates Zack Coomer and Ryan Hummer, strives to capture the raw passion, enthusiasm, and angst that comes with being a diehard fan of your alma mater’s sports programs. Slangin’ features a rotating cast of characters, including Cincinnati Bearcats legends, beat writers, and other Bearcat personalities who provide unique perspectives on all the hot topics of the week.
Zack Coomer [left] and Ryan Hummer [right] met during their time at the University of Cincinnati. It's a story that will eventually be told on the podcast, but it involves a house party, adult beverages, and an hours-long debate about why Mick Cronin was the right hire for the Bearcats after the '05-06 season.
After spending hours/days/months/years talking UC sports over text and phone, they decided to make their conversations "productive" by recording and releasing them to the masses through what is now known as the Cincy Slangin' Bearcat Sports Podcast.
Coomer now lives in Cincinnati, OH with his wife and two kids (CLIFTON!), while Hummer and his wife recently moved to New York City.
